This project involved the complete installation of a new, high-quality block-paved driveway in Broxbourne, Herts.
Scope of Works
- Excavated the full driveway area to a depth of 300 mm, ensuring all surfaces were levelled to the correct gradients
- Installed a geotextile membrane across the entire area for long-term stability
- Supplied, laid and mechanically compacted a hardcore sub-base using a vibrating plate to create a solid foundation
- Supplied and screeded sharp sand to the correct levels in preparation for block paving
Block Paving
- Installed Marshalls Charcoal Granite Modal X Textured blocks as the main driveway surface
- Added a contrasting Silver Grey Granite border, creating a crisp, modern two-tone design
- The quality granite blocks provide a smooth finish, excellent durability and a contemporary aesthetic
Finishing
- Brushed in sealing sand and consolidated the full driveway using a vibrating plate for a tight, professional finish
- Installed Key Kerbs to form a raised flower-bed feature, adding structure and visual appeal
Timescale
The full project was completed within 1 week.
